Amanda's Favorite Finds for Your Next Cruise Adventure

Cruising offers a unique way to explore stunning destinations while enjoying the luxury of a floating hotel. However, packing for a cruise can often feel overwhelming. With limited luggage space and the necessity of versatility, making wise choices about what to bring is crucial.

Thankfully, during our time cruising we (or our friends) have made all the mistakes so you don't have too! Here are our must haves for cruising!

Packing Cubes

Maximizing suitcase space is essential for a stress-free packing experience. Packing cubes are a game changer (this is especiially true when your husband is much more organized than you). These handy organizers keep your clothes neatly folded and easy to reach.

Different sizes of packing cubes allow you to sort your items by type or outfit. For instance, you might use one cube for swimwear, another for casual wear, and a third for evening attire. This not only maximizes space but also means unpacking is quick and straightforward when you arrive at your cabin.

These are Amanda's favorite packing cubes. Affordability, quality and variety of sizing makes them perfect. Click on the picture to be taken to see the current pricing. When we bought them they were $16.99

Portable Charger

In today’s digital age, your phone is a vital companion during a cruise. Whether you're capturing memories with photos, navigating the ship, or keeping in touch with loved ones, a portable charger is an essential item.

Opt for a charger that features multiple ports and a substantial capacity, like 20,000 mAh, allowing you to charge your phone several times. With a reliable charger, you can enjoy the cruise's offerings without the worry of a dying battery. I love this one because I am embarrassed to say how many times I have remembered my battery bank and forgotten my cord. This has been a real life saver.

Waterproof Phone Case

Water activities are often highlights of a cruise, making a waterproof phone case essential. A quality case allows you to take photos while swimming, snorkeling, or lounging on the beach without risking damage to your device.

Look for cases that are fully submersible, capable of withstanding depths of at least 30 feet. This durability gives you the confidence to capture every moment, from underwater adventures to beachfront relaxation.

I was worried about this one guys! I am going to be honest when Jonathan wanted to buy this case I had serious questions.... However it ended up getting the best photos ever for us while snorkling in Roatan! It's ugly, but its very water proof, it fits both of our phones, and it felt really sturdy. I was so glad I listened to him... but don't tell him that!

Hooks for the Wall Of The State Room

This is one hill that I will die on. Magnetic hooks on a cruise ship are my number one must have. I used them to hang lightweight jackets, to make sure I didn't lose my lanyard, to hang wet swim suits, to hang towels to dry, to hang the hats I brought for theme nights.

I actually buy every single family that cruises with me a pack of these because I feel so strongly about them! We get the thirty pound ones and they worked perfectly!

Reusable Water Bottle

Staying hydrated on a cruise is vital, and using a reusable water bottle is an eco-friendly choice. Many cruise lines offer water refilling stations, enabling you to save money while remaining hydrated.

Choose a vacuum-insulated bottle that can keep your beverages cold for up to 24 hours, ensuring refreshing drinks throughout the day. A bottle that fits easily into your purse or backpack is ideal for convenience.

I don't have one on amazon that I love but bring your favorite!

Travel First Aid Kit

A travel first aid kit is a small investment that can make a big difference in case of minor injuries or illnesses.

Select a kit that contains band-aids, antiseptic wipes, ibuprofen, and other essentials. Having these items readily available can provide peace of mind, allowing you to comfortably enjoy your cruise without worrying about unexpected mishaps. I found out the hard way how expensive things on the ship can be. Accidents can happen!

This is my favorite. I added some allergy meds, and advil also!

Sunglasses with UV Protection

Protecting your eyes from harmful sun rays is critical during a cruise, particularly when you spend extended time outdoors. A quality pair of sunglasses with UV protection is an indispensable accessory.

Choose stylish sunglasses that also provide at least 100% UVA and UVB protection. This ensures your eyes stay safe while looking great in all your vacation photos. Please do not tell my husband that I added this one in. As you can imagine I do not like it when he's right. I used to never wear sunglasses but after being on a cruise ship and visiting the Caribbean I can say for sure... Don't skip on this!

Smooth Sailing Ahead

Preparing for a cruise can be both exciting and overwhelming. By including these essential Amazon finds in your packing list, you can ensure a smoother and more enjoyable journey. From organizing your belongings with packing cubes to staying connected with a portable charger, these products will make a real difference. I want your trip to be completely prepared for anything that can happen!

Remember, the key to a great cruise experience is not just about the destinations you visit, but also about how prepared and comfortable you feel throughout your journey. Happy cruising!
